basis and concentrated on the production of thick Tibetan area rugs. Tibetan
weavings have floppy handle and structurally follow no rules. Foundations can be
of wool, cotton, or mixture of both. Generally, antique pieces tend to have
woolen wrap, while most recent examples have cotton. Design of Tibetan rugs vary
widely. As in china, the dragon, and phoenix were commonly used motifs, and
